The Cure's third long player doubles down on the despair that began with 1980's "Seventeen Seconds" and would culminate on 1982's "Pornography." Of the three "Faith" feels the most personal to singer songwriter Robert Smith as the increasingly personal lyrics detail a world of a drowning man whose doubt of his own faith increases as other voices interrupt his primary colored world seeing all cats turning to grey during the holy hour of a funeral party dedicated to his grandparents passing. Good pal Dave Lutes joins us to dissect it all.
