The Beautiful Word and Kathleen Batista live
2 live sessions on InBrighton Live on Sat 1 March 2014 on RadioReverb - direct from Brighton UK
From 27 minutes into the show: Magical Mystery Pop from underground sensations The Beautiful Word - experimental, electric, acoustic, tuneful and soundscapey! With great singing. Like the Velvet Underground; not to be easily classified - and definitely never say the T**e word! ! here in a partly unplugged stylee, and without bassist but still conjuring up some sound spells live in our tiny studio
Pre-ceeded - from the beginning of the show, by a solo acousitc set from Brighton based singer/songwriter (and multi-instrumentalist) Kathleen Battista (aka Kath!) . With another lady on vocals, she has an online project called Shake The Skyeline where she plays everything to make loud rock and noise music (One track is included at about 23 minutes in). Here she brings us her melodic musings on life, with guitar acompaniment. Her singing is very listen-to-able and real despite her modesty in that regard
Produced and presented by Donald Shier
