Nicola Piovesan is the CEO and game developer at Chaosmonger Studio, based in Estonia. Our previous guest, Philipp Zybkovets of Caligari Games called out Nicola as a developer that I should get on the show. So, here we are! We are talking about Nicola’s 2021 point-and-click adventure game ENCODYA.
Like Philipp, Nicola was a filmmaker before he was game developer, so we discuss his filmmaking background extensively. Additionally, we get into the point-and-click genre, implementing gorgeous 2.5D graphics, narrative design, early access, and the unexpected benefits of developing two games at the same time.
