Matthew White is the CEO of Whitethorn Games and Brian Wilson is their Lead Business Developer and Scout. Whitethorn Games is an indie game publisher based in Erie, PA. They publish cozy, non-stressful games that are easy to pick up, don't take much time, and can be played by a wider audience than your average gamers. They call themselves "the defenders of easy games." I have played only a few games that have been published by Whitethorn, but I have enjoyed them all, especially Lake! I first became aware of Whitethorn Games when I visisted their PAX East booth in 2022. In this episode, Matt, Brian, and I will be discussing the benefits of acquiring a publisher, the indie game industry as a whole, and we answer a few questions that my own guests have asked about publishers.
