This week marks a real treat for Studio B. Fresh off the heels of our first Podcast Concert, we are slowly building a library of exclusive live tracks, soon to be showcased on Indy In-Tune Radio -- most-likely on a little program I've been dying to do for years now called "Monday Night Live." Let's face it, there's very little live music going on on Mondays in this town, so I think I'm justified in carving a little niche out for myself. I just hope I can get a crash course in music recording and figure out how to produce an end product worthy of the artists that are contributing their talents to this experiment.
With a ra(u)gged voice, like a grizzly bear, this week's guest, Cootie Crabtree is another one of those I look forward to getting together with every couple of years. Now making his third appearance in support of his latest release, "Blues for the Muse," we talk a bit about the "core" of Coot's music and the qualities he brings to the table that make some of the city's top songwriters and performers want to collaborate with him. The result is a CD encompassing a variety of genres and moods all expertly crafted and delivered around a voice and style that is all Cootie.
