After spending over 15yrs helping other people start and grow their businesses in the North East and across the UK whilst working for Generator, Project North East, Shell LiveWIRE, Sage and Tech North (part of Tech City UK / Tech Nation), Paul launched his own 'Plan Digital' business in 2016 to focus on making Newcastle and the wider North East of England the best place to start and grow a business in the UK.
He is the Founder & Event Producer of the annual 5-day 'Newcastle Startup Week' (13th May!) festival and 1-day 'Newcastle Scaleup Summit' in May which he uses as a platform for inspiring and supporting more people to start and grow their business in the North East of England, retain and attract talent, and encourage more inward investment too. He also runs monthly Founders Friday Meetups and and created the #ThisIsMINE campaign.
