In this episode Doug gives you 4 Life Hacks to help you reduce the effects stressful situations can have on us. Situations like public speaking, an emergency, a job interview, competing in a race, an exam etc.
Tunnel vision can occur during these moments, as some of the electrical connections in your brain disconnect.
Here are some things we can do to reduce the effects of the stress.
1/ Breathing, big slow exhale out of your mouth, slow inhale through your nose, down into your abdomen.
2/ Shaking your hands, wrists, arm, and whole body. We've all seen Olympic runners and swimmers do it. They're not just warming their physical bodies, they're shaking off anxiety and stress too.
3/ You can reset your nervous system with cold showers and breathing.
4/ Airflow, have a door or window open, or air conditioning on etc.
