Description

For this week’s Mental Note we are talking about micro and macro aggressions in the workplace. I wanted to share with you a disturbing story about a woman I recently spoke to who experienced discrimination in the workplace despite having worked at this fortune 500 company for over 20 years.

The woman completed an assignment given to her by leadership in record time only to be reassigned the work because her manager did not believe that she “retained” the information because of how fast she was able to complete it, insulting both her intelligence and character.

I wanted to share this with you in order to open up the dialogue about your own experiences of micro and macro aggressions in your careers.  Please connect with us either through our private Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/495592024600893/ or by email media@itsallmentalpodcast.com and let us know about your own experiences.
