Description

Did you know that money is one of the most common stressors that can affect your mental health? Whether you have money and do not know how to properly handle it or you struggle week to week wondering how you are going to pay your bills, money is a force in and of itself that can cause you to feel powerless in its midst.

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of connecting with the host of In Search for Adventure and financial advisor Peita D who generously shares with us her wealth of knowledge about not only money but the mindset we must develop in order to be in control and proactive in our finances.

In this conversation, we talk about the importance of letting go of comparison and using other people's success as an inspiration in our our journey instead of a deterrent. We also discuss the importance of being disciplined day to day  in our spending but also giving ourselves grace in the process.

Peita shares that often people think “wealth building” means that you need to immediately start thinking about investments. She encourages us to first start small and practice the habit of saving. She even provides a few helpful Apps that will help us save even when money is tight and identifies ways we can spot “accidental spending”.

We hope this episode encourages you wherever you are at in your financial journey. We would love to hear your thoughts and answer your questions! Send us an email at media@itsallmentalpodcast.com and we will get back with you!
