Description

This week, I had the honor of connecting with Briar Harvey, a writer, business systems expert,  and podcast host about her journey navigating her mental health while running her own business.

Briar shares with us her story of beginning diagnosed with Bipolar and Generalized Anxiety disorder as a teenager and as an adult suffering with increased symptoms after the traumatic experience of losing a child. Briar’s business journey has shifted along the way and she has learned valuable coping skills that she generously shares with us today.

We discuss what she says “saved” her during grief, loss, and depression as well as how she has moved past the stigma of mental illness and made it a priority in her life. We dig into the power of our words, the importance of setting time to recharge, as well as how  she integrates her mental health practices into her work flow.

Another important point to this episode is that one person’s journey will not look like the next. It is important to take your mental health into your own hands and honor your unique situation. We hope this episode encourages you to see beyond what you are suffering with and find the hope that you are looking for.

What are your thoughts about today’s episode? Do you have any questions about what we discussed? We would LOVE to hear from you! Send us an email at media@itsallmentalpodcast.com
