In this episode, I sit down with Monique AJ Smith and talk about how she is highlighting women of color in athletics. She is hosting a podcast and launching a magazine to pave the way for younger women and give them amazing examples to look up to. We discuss how the gatekeepers are gone and we can take control over our own lives.
We discuss how you have to know who you are and what your passion is in order to fully step into your purpose. Often when we take a job we only look at the money and how much we would make rather than asking ourselves: “Is this something that will bring peace and happiness?”
We talk about the importance of filling ourselves up so that we can then give to others, and that starts with taking care of and understanding who we are.
