I wanted to come to you on this week’s mental note about the topic of depression. Now that the holidays are over we are getting back into our routines and you might be experiencing symptoms of depression or maybe there is someone you know who is struggling. On today’s episode, I wanted to break down what depression is and its warning signs.
There are many types of depression, and sometimes it is difficult to recognize them. Fortunately, I have noticed more and more people talking about it, which is fantastic, however we still have a lot left to do in the mental health community to educate the general public on the signs of depression.
A key takeaway from today’s episode is that sometimes people struggle with depression and you might NEVER know. That is why it is so important to check in with your loved ones and be truly present with them. Even if you never fully know what someone is going through, it is our job as a community to love those around us.
If you have questions or comments about today’s episode we would love to hear from you. You can email us at media@itsallmentalpodcast.com . We also have a private Facebook group called, It’s all Mental which we invite you to be a part of. We are in your corner and here to support you in anyway that we can.
