Marven served as county commissioner of Logan County from 2014-2022 and has a background in the Oklahoma Military Department managing information technology. He also served in the Marine Corps and the Army Guard and was involved in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during the OKC Bombing in 1995.
Marven is challenging incumbent Rep John Pfeifer, highlighting concerns with Pfeifer's voting record and bills such as HB3542 that redefine fusion centers in Oklahoma.
He also discusses his position on state involvement in local/county issues and Tax Incremental Financing (TIFs), which he describes as a "gateway to cronyism." He commits to refusing any money from PACs, lobbyists, or special interest groups.
