The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions é o terceiro álbum de estúdio da carreira solo do músico brasileiro Seu Jorge, lançado 2005. É uma coletânea de canções de David Bowie que Seu Jorge gravou em português para a trilha sonora do filme “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”. Seu Jorge participa como ator do filme do diretor Wes Anderson, do ótimo “Os excêntricos Tenembauns”.
Cinco das covers foram incluídas na trilha sonora original do filme. As traduções para português não são perfeitas. Seu Jorge mantém as melodias e o estilo, mas as letras são alteradas. Na verdade ficou a sonoridade.
O próprio Bowie apreciou o álbum e escreveu o seguinte sobre as versões: "Se Seu Jorge não tivesse gravado minhas canções acusticamente em português, eu nunca teria ouvido esse novo grau de beleza que ele conseguiu adicionar à elas."
Nesta edição do podcast vamos fazer uma comparação entre a música original de David Bowie e a versão em português do Seu Jorge.
