Description

Are you looking for a simple definition of biblical counseling? Pastor Jeff Christianson defines biblical counseling as helping another person walk with the Lord. Biblical counseling comes down to helping another person walk. It is about progress; it is not a procedure. Many times, our counselees don't see that their problems stem from the fact that they are walking on a path that leads to destruction. Sin can consume our attention so that we are focused on pursuing pleasures, not knowing where our feet will lead us. Solomon warns his readers to watch the paths of their feet (Prov 4:26). Not only must we watch our feet, but we must also watch our spiritual company. Paul's words in Romans 8 remind us that we must walk with the Spirit and not according to the flesh.

In this week's episode of the Biblical Counseling Podcast, pastor and counselor Jeff Christianson continues this study on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Biblical counselors must know what the Bible says about our most important helper in counseling, the Great Counselor.
