Christians today should understand the importance of "power." Many of us feel the impact when our home or business suddenly loses power. The lights turn off. Nothing works. Everything that you rely upon shuts down. The loss of power today reveals our dependence as people. The picture in the Bible inverses this experience. Scripture says that we have no power in ourselves. But, Christ promises that we as his disciples will receive power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
This empowering work of the Holy Spirit is the topic of today's episode of the Biblical Counseling Podcast.
