I met Tully when I was commenting War on the North Shore 46 and this episode is a perfect example of why I enjoy sitting down with people to talk in a focused conversation to ask them about how they have gotten to this point in life.
Never did I expect him to tell me about how he fought for a state title whilst having tongue cancer, only to have it diagnosed after the fight and see him have half of his tongue removed and the process of recovery to the point where he is today.
