Robert Morgan was born in Hendersonville North Carolina and is a poet, novelist and short story writer. He has been awarded a Guggenheim fellowship and a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship as well as awarded the James G Hanes Poetry prize by the Fellowship of Southern Writers. He is currently a Kappa Alpha Professor of English at Cornell.
