This ancient town and sacred pilgrimage destination has a long history that is mentioned in the Bible, specifically in the books of Numbers (21:30) and Joshua (13:9). We will visit a large mosaic floor in what is now the Orthodox Church of St. George, in Madaba. This is the oldest known & best-preserved map of the Holy Land.
