My studio guests and I will be looking at the experience of transgender folk in the AFL , in particular the story of Kirsti Miller, the NSW transgender AFL player.
We’ll talk to Kirsti herself about the vilification she suffered, and hear the response of the CEO of AFL NSW & ACT, former Geelong captain and footy commentator Tom Harley.
And of course we can’t talk about the AFL, homophobia & transphobia without hearing from our old mate Rob Mitchell.
We also have the story of the transwoman who is just about to make her on-field debut as a goal umpire in the AFL, and the response from AFL boss Andrew Demetriou to Kirsti’s case.
