JOY celebrated its 22nd birthday on 1 December. As part of the celebrations, the station held a party for its patrons – people who give significant donations that go a long way to helping JOY stay on air.
Stand Up Straight was honoured to be part of the party by inviting a number of the patrons into the studio to chat about why donating to JOY is important to them.
A significant part of the station’s funding comes from the JOY Patrons Program – it currently exceeds the money gained through memberships.
