Dave Frodsham: Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath
Dave looks at Mark 2:23-3:6 – when the Pharisees question Jesus about whether it is right to heal on the Sabbath.
Jesus replies by asking them about whether it is lawful on the Sabbath to do good (by healing) or to do harm (by not healing)?
Jesus’ message is that Sabbath was made for man to rest – not so that man, by following it to the letter, should gain admittance to heaven.
