Here are some ways to engage students using this story:
1. Ask students to draw (or imagine) a scary monster. Ask them to think about the details. In groups, ask them to describe the monsters they have come up with. They can even describe what they would do if they saw the scary monster.
2. Have a whole-class discussion on who students consider their heroes and why they admire them.
3. Encourage students to draw a comic based on the story. Once completed, they can display and present their drawings.
