Shadow and Bone- both a Book and a Netflix series. Leigh Bardugo does solid World Building, it's based off of Russia which is neat, and her magic system is pretty unique
Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- a story with time travel and an AI Idol - why would we need to say more?
Pretty Boy Detective Club – Nice and fluffy, pretty to look at, good jokes. Kat wonders if the main character may be trans? But it hasn't come up yet in the series where she's seen
Zombie Land Saga – Season 2 has a weird start, but we both enjoyed the first season. Not discussed in the episode, but we have enjoyed the season as it has gone on.
Monster Hunter Rise – Joel found the Thunder Serpent Narwa fight the most interesting, but the game isn't suited to his tastes
Main Discussion
Luffy and company finally make their escape from the great prison! Mr. 2 proves he is above and beyond the MVP of this entire arc, and he will be missed. Buggy and Mr. 3 were actually semi useful, which comes as a surprise, and we love Jinbe! We speculate about what awakened devil fruits could be- is it Zoan specifically? Will Chopper awaken? And a final, special shoutout to Crocodile, so ruthless a mob boss even after all this time.
