Trusting God

Relationships
• Get alongside someone who can support you.
• Get alongside someone who you can support.
• Don’t presume. People are not as ‘sorted’ as they appear!

Trust
• My future is secure.
• God has the VERY best in store for me.
• He has a plan and a future for my life.

Gideon – Judges 6
• God calls us, not where we are at, but where He sees we are going to be.
• Judges 6:36-37 – Gideon needed proof!
• He was obedient, because he trusted God.
• Trusting isn’t easy.
• Circumstances don’t always go the way we want them to.

• God doesn’t always change the circumstances
but He always has a purpose IN the circumstances.

• The Joy of the Lord is my strength.
Strength
Isaiah 40:27-31
• People of Israel felt as though God wasn’t there.
• Isaiah responded with…

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
