Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire
• Adam and Eve had Significance, Security and Acceptance when first created.
• This was lost when sin entered the world. We are seeking these things in life, but they can only come through restoration of our relationship with God.
The Devil
• He is the father of all lies (John 8:44). His purpose is to prevent us from having a relationship with God.
• We need to recognise that we are in a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:10-18).
• We need to put on the armour of God.
Jesus
• The good news is that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He has won the victory (Colossians 2:15).
• Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:35). We need to ‘feed’ on Him every day.
• He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).
• The truth will set us free (John 8:31).
• When Jesus was in the wilderness and the devil spoke to Him, he responded with scripture each time. ‘The scripture says…’ (Matthew 4:1-11).
• We need to respond with scripture. It’s the truth and the truth will set us free.
Smith Wigglesworth
• In 1947, Smith Wigglesworth prophesied that there will be a revival greater than ever seen before (see http://www.waltdumont.org/Wigglesworth.htm). When the spirit and the word come together.
The Plan
• We need to be aware of the thoughts that come from the devil. He does plant things (John 13:2) but we just need to be aware and speak scripture.

I can’t keep going. Go to Him and He will give you rest.

• Do not allow your feelings to dictate your behaviour. Allow the truth of God’s word direct you. Remember, we are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).
• We should be living life in all its fullness (John 10:10).
