(04:45) The guys start the show by discussing the breaking news that Minor League Baseball has cancelled their entire season, thus cancelling the inaugural season for the Wichita Wind Surge at the brand new Riverfront Stadium in downtown Wichita. The guys discuss the disappointment, plus the negative impact this will have on the city of Wichita and whether or not the fighting between MLB and the Players Union that led to delays to start the Major League season led to the Minors being cancelled.
(22:10) It's a story that isn't pleasant to discuss, but Tommy and Weston tackle the issue at Kansas State University and the racist and offensive social media post that has the university in the national spotlight. What should the university do about the student? Weston puts on his attorney cap to give his opinion. How about the show of solidarity with all the student athletes at K-State? Is there a bigger problem going on in Manhattan?
(43:50) Cam Newton is now a Patriot. Simply asked...will the Patriots be a threat to the Chiefs in the AFC? Weston and Tommy discuss (the short answer is: No.)
(46:32) Our #WichitaWhiparound is all about the rescheduled Wichita Open in September. The Wichita Business Journal wrote an article about new financial ambassadors for the tournament and Tommy and Weston talk all about how top notch the tournament is and how exciting it is that in the midst of negative sports stories, something positive continues with the golf tournament in the ICT.
(53:19) In honor of the 4th of July this weekend, the guys decided to do a ranking...but patriotic sporting events is too cliche, so instead they rank Top Patriotic Moments in Sports Movies. There are some classics on this list, you won't want to miss this segment.
