Then, Travis Lupick, an award winning journalist, joins us to discuss his new book Fighting for Space: How a Group Of Drug Users Transformed One City’s Struggle With Addiction. Lupick’s book shares the inspiring history of how grassroots activists transformed an area of the Canadian city Vancouver to be a safe space for drug users, and thereby actually began to solve the problems of addiction.
