Johan Samsing meets
prof. Robert "Bob" M. Wald for a Science Talk in Niels Bohr Office
about his work on quantum gravity and black holes:
Robert M. Wald is an
American theoretical physicist and professor at the University of Chicago,
known for his groundbreaking work on general relativity, black holes, and
quantum gravity.
For this, he recently
received the Einstein Prize from the APS Division of Gravitational Physics for
"the discovery of the general formula for black hole entropy, and for
developinga rigorous formulation
of quantum field theory in curved spacetime."
In this video
series, Johan Samsing (NBIA) meets 7 outstanding scientists, each of which have
made profound contributions to our understanding of the Universe within the
areas of black holes, gravitational waves, early universe dynamics, and quantum
gravity.
The recordings took place at the Niels
Bohr Office during the conference "Current Themes in High Energy Physics,
Gravity and Cosmology" held by the Niels Bohr International Academy from
Aug. 21st to 25th, 2023.
