Josephus, the noted first century Jewish historian, recorded a unique encounter between Alexander the Great and Jewish high priest, Jaddua, in 332 B.C.. The record states Jaddua provided a briefing from the Book of Daniel to Alexander which had been written several centuries prior. It foretold of Alexander’s victories in battle and also the end of his reign.
