Description

After years of working for media, higher education, and non-profit organizations, Elizabeth “Beth” Gibbs is ‘free-tired’ and pursuing her passions of writing, teaching, and leading workshops on yoga, and self-awareness.

She writes for several health and wellness blogs and has published two books, a personal growth book, Enlighten Up! Finding Clarity, Contentment and Resilience in a Complicated World, and a children’s book, Ogi Bogi, The Elephant Yogi.

In this episode we discussed:
- How she followed her passion from a community tv producer, a health department, and a university to yoga
- The “wisdom women” that influence her decisions
- “Free-tired” vs. “retired”
- Finding ways to fit it all in, even when it’s not balance
- How yoga helped her avoid negative self-talk, increased calm, better mental health, and self-awareness
- The 5 layers of self-care
- The power of a pause and a deep breath
- The importance of an ethical value system for leaders
