Mindful Quarantine Notes from Arjuna:
Where We Begin:
First let's acknowledge that there’s nowhere to get to. Everything we’ll be discussing is already inside you. However, as life continues to life, we become disconnected from this reality as a birthright. Today we will be primarily focused on awareness, tools, practices and activities that support and foster our reconnection to our heart-center.
Let’s start with taking a look at what’s right in front of us. It’s so easy to overlook some of the most valuable and accessible tools that are right in our reach, and even more so during these times. For example, breath, eye sight, hearing, movement, shelter(house), food, clean water, toilet paper and most importantly family and loved ones.
Key factors as an individual/ as household:
-Emotional & social intelligence - listening and speaking with emotional awareness
-Critical-thinking - including how all parties involved are impacted
-Resilience - reset and persevere
-Social responsibility - service to others e.g. add value, encouragement, affirmation
Now let’s look at some other obvious circumstances that can potentially distract us from being present or aware of the blessings and beauty around us.
