CONVERSATIONS ABOUT RACISM

WITH LAUREN WHATLEY AND BISHOP TONY DUNN

Conversations About Racism is a series of separate talks with Lauren Whatley (first two conversations) and Bishop Tony Dunn (last two conversations) to explore how racism has affected each of us personally, as well as our world. We will be leveraging Lauren’s and the Bishop’s expertise and background in race, gender and systems of oppression.

Lauren holds a Master’s in Gender and Race Studies, a Bachelor’s in Human Development with a concentration in Oppression. She teaches Women’s Studies at the University of Alabama.

Bishop Tony Dunn holds degrees in Business, Practical Theology and Leadership. He pastors and oversees 19 churches in North America, South America, Asia and Africa.

We will share in personal stories of racism, as well as many of the headline topics necessary for our own personal growth. This week, Bishop Tony Dunn and I talk about capitalism versus socialism as it is tied up in the discussions on racism.

As you can imagine this will be an amazing multiple-week conversation.
