Description

Today we are joined by yogi Liz McKean for a heart opening conversation about her recovery journey and what it's like to live with chronic anxiety and mental health challenges. The practice of yoga as well as the foundational relationships in her life, were two of the key catalysts that propelled Liz to where she sits today, and later panned out into her current work and life mission. Today you'll find Liz sharing the gifts of yoga amongst various platforms, truly elevating the accessibility of the ancient practice and amplifying her personal connection to the presence of the four corners of the mat.

As someone who has had to climb her way out of times of debilitating mental distress, which then led to addiction, Liz shares how different the holiday season may look for those struggling with their own mental health challenges. She offers everyone who is struggling the permission to speak one's mind and communicate what's needed in what often feels like life threatening situations. Liz goes on to share some of the various ways she has set up particular boundaries she needed to have set in her life.  After all she's incurred in her lifetime thus far, Liz so beautifully depicts her gratitude for life and the little joys that are so worth celebrating, yet can so easily get missed as well. We go on to reflect on the power of a strong support and carrying mindfulness around wherever one goes.
