Join Amber and I in this pre recorded chat we had all around her carnivore experience. Amber, Lone Star Keto Girl, has had a true transformation going from the SAD diet to Low Carb, Keto and now Carnivore. She helps others do the same, and also has a hugely successful podcast, Lone Star Keto. She's a lot of fun and has so much knowledge to share.

Howdy y'all! My name is Amber. I'm 54, married and have 2 adult kids and a 2 year old granddaughter. I'm a nutritionist, carnivore & IF coach, podcast host, a raw dog food specialist, and a huge keto and carnivore enthusiast. I've battled with weight issues since I was 10 years old. That's over 40 years, y'all!

Not to mention dealing with multiple eating/exercise disorders. I've tried pretty much every diet out there at some point. I've lost 80 - 100lbs 4 times. 3 were via Weight Watchers with the same exact results--gaining all or most of it back, sometimes more. Gotta love the low fat, high carb, processed food filled Standard American Diet.

At my heaviest I was over 240 lbs and wore a size 26. That's pretty major considering I'm only 5'2". My health suffered horribly as well. I became hypertensive (210/110) & pre-diabetic. At one point, I was taking 4 medications for my high BP. I had major acid reflux and took Nexium every day for 8 years. My rosacea was severe and a great embarrassment. I developed Reynaud's syndrome which was very uncomfortable when I got too cold.

My fingers and toes would turn white and sting like a body part that has fallen asleep. But even worse than the physical pain was the emotional and psychological pain I endured. I was depressed and spent a good 20 years of my life hiding from the world. I became a spectator of my own life. Watching on the sidelines instead of living.

All that changed when I stumbled across keto. I started my keto journey July of 2017. To say it was a life-changer is a huge understatement. I knew the first week that I had found a gold mine Along the keto journey, I was able to get off Nexium and 3 of my BP meds. My stomach issues and rosacea greatly improved, I lost 65 lbs in 8 months, and my depression was gone.

I was no longer pre-diabetic. I was also able to maintain my weight loss longer than I ever had without any worry I wouldn't be able to sustain it. The Reynaud's disappeared as well. Since I still had a little healing to do and a friend kept pestering me to give carnivore a try, I transitioned into it March 2019. I'm now off all medications. I only take a Mg and collagen supplement.

I have zero stomach issues and the rosacea is almost gone! I've never felt better. I used to think back on the past and feel great sadness for all I missed out on. But now I think of it as preparing me to be able to relate and help others. And if I can inspire just one person to make positive health changes and not have to suffer like I did, then everything I do is worth it!
