Description

The Made in Indy podcast sits down to chat with Physicians; Lindsay Moore-Ostby & Rachael Holliday, creators of Indy Direct Docs.

We begin by breaking down what "direct primary care" means. Then the pair explain the mission of Indy Direct Docs, & how they offer an affordable subscription based practice for under $100 per month. Together we discover what lead them to leave a more traditional care model, & how that allowed them to transition into a space where they found have more fulfillment.

Later, we discuss how Indy Direct Docs has adapted their clinic practices during the Covid pandemic in a way that allows them to care for their clients even more efficiently. Also, we dissect the current issues our healthcare system is facing & explore how the "direct primary care" model may be great tool to combat the racial inequalities disproportionately affecting Black Americans in the American healthcare system.
