Often times as we get older we can get comfortable in life. We want the family, the job, the security. And just sit back and relax. Jesus was anything but comfortable. And if we are to act as the sons we are, then we need to get uncomfortable too.
Cold showers do that - they make you uncomfortable. And help get you out of your comfort zone. Jesus left heaven, the most amazing place in the universe, to come to earth. That was definitely a cold shower.
