Clem and Kyle try to maintain some semblance of calm while the Mets slip further and further in the standings and kick off their west coast swing tonight. There's no sugar coating it, were down bad right now and this trip could be the tipping point for many in the fanbase.
All that being said, if they can manage to survive and get to meaningful games in September we have a shot! The offense is putting up historically bad numbers, the clock on the rotation's fairytale run has seemingly struck midnight and Frank the Tank is grave dancing on the we gotta believe boys, but all we have to do is SURVIVE!
The Phillies and Braves are just as bad and if they allow us to stick around we gotta believe that we have a shot down the stretch so brew that coffee, tuck the kids in and get ready for some late nights and Mets misery because the west coast woes have just begun!
