Will global climate change have any effect on infectious disease? As permafrost melts, pathogens of the past are reintroduced, threatening humans with deadly infections and a new source of rare diseases. Warmer temperatures are accompanied by an expanding region hospital to tropical diseases and flood waters from natural disasters can spread flesh-eating bacteria.
