Anger is one of the basic (and healthy) emotions, though many of us cultured as girls and women were never taught how to "do" anger. Lacking this emotion in your toolbox can show up as poor boundaries, un-kind self talk, and can even manifest as a never-ending quest of self-improvement. We feel sad and blame ourselves when things go wrong, and these bad feelings have nowhere to go. Learning how to do anger won't make you a raging b*tch, but it will make you more assertive, better able to make positive change in the world, and happier.
