We don't have to rely on our own intuition or "feelings." As believers, we have the Holy Spirit who is able to help us distinguish one thing from another: ie truth from falsehood, virtue from vice, etc. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and is fully God in his unique role in the Trinity. With Jesus' ascent into Heaven, He made way for the entrance of the Holy Spirit on His believers at Pentecost. This allows us to have a new way to relate to God. How amazing is the new revealed covenant between God and His people! We believe that we can be guided and given discernment from the Holy Spirit as we seek God through His Word and through prayer. The Holy Spirit's voice will always line up with the Word of God. Our faith is grace through faith and so the Holy Spirit helps us lives out our daily sanctification.
