Tyson Wieland is a professional triathlete entering his first Ironman length triathlon. We talked with him in the week preceding his 140.6-mile race in Des Moines, Iowa. Tyson discovered triathlon while in high school and has risen to the professional ranks excelling at Olympic and half-ironman length events. In addition to learning about what it takes to prepare for an 8+ hour day, we also discuss the impact a race of this magnitude can have on it's host community and the people and businesses that benefit from an international event.
