This city’s a pity.
Places grew scary.
Unemployment and crime share the same loaded dice.
Politicians are thirsty,
itching for money like
Three blind mice
riding the New York City
Subway train ,
while our children are left
far behind like
NYC’s pipeline.
We are the children of the forgotten streets,
Where love’s a misplaced joke that no one repeats.
It hangs like a rope when all hope is gone,
It never-replaced echo we walk upon.
In these streets, the curriculum’s cold and incomplete,
left out
No blanket
