Description

Paul concludes 1 Corinthians Ch.4 by bearing his heart before the Corinthian church. If they could only understand his desire for them surely Paul would be satisfied. Paul informs them that his use of strong, sarcastic language isn’t to shame them but to admonish them. His heart is to remind them of their roots and he pleads with them to remember who they are, and who they are to follow. Paul then closes with a sobering question—“What do you desire? That I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness?
