Throughout Scripture we see men and women of God who were clothed in God’s righteousness. In Zechariah Ch.3 Joshua the high priest was found in filthy garments being accused by Satan. The Lord responded “The Lord rebuke you Satan.” God came to the defense of his child Joshua and His chosen people Israel. God took Joshua’s filthy garments and placed on him a festal robe. In the New Covenant everyday believers through the cross of Christ and the Holy Spirit within us have the opportunity to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and always triumph through Him who loves us.
