Description

Joan of Arc was a teenage girl from rural France who changed the course of history. Born around 1412, she grew up at a time when France was torn apart by the Hundred Years’ War with England. Claiming to receive visions from saints, Joan believed she had been chosen by God to help save France. Despite her age and lack of military training, she convinced powerful leaders to let her lead French troops into battle. Her courage inspired a nation, but her rise was followed by betrayal, trial, and execution. Today, Joan of Arc is remembered as a symbol of faith, bravery, and resistance against injustice.
