It is winter, the time of the year when everyone is asleep. No matter what time of the day it is, everyone seems to be in this strange, semi-detached state of mind: aware of what’s going on, yet existing somewhere distant.
Winter is known to be a time of festivities and celebrations, shared tables and familiar rituals, but once the holidays are over, what are we to do for the rest of this empty stretch of time that follows? People seem to ask all sorts of questions. It feels like the whole world is signaling to us to stop and take a break, but despite that, we continue to push ourselves beyond our limits, especially when the vast majority of things are out of reach.
