Jill Evans: is from the Rhondda, an area of mid-south Wales. She is a longstanding member of the Welsh political party, Plaid Cymru. Between 1999 and 2020, Jill served Wales as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). Prior to joining the European Parliament, she was a community leader, working as an elected representative on Borough and County Councils.
In this episode of Blueprint Cymru, Jill speaks about her commitment to nuclear disarmament, learning Welsh in her teens, being the first person to address the European Parliament in Welsh and her wish to see Wales thrive as an internationally recognised nation.
