After nearly eighty years of only ever appearing in television, animated, and video game adaptations of her comics, Wonder Woman finally leapt to the big screen in the DCEU, first in BVS, and then in her own solo movie a year later. After three misses with audiences and critics, nobody seemed to expect much from this film in the lead-up to its release. When it finally came out, however, things finally seemed to start looking up for Warner Bros. as the movie fared far better critically and commercially.
