After the divisive 60th Anniversary Specials from last fall, Doctor Who had a clean slate with Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, an iteration that fans immediately latched onto in his first apearanced in The Giggle and The Church on Ruby Road. Hopes were high for his first full (yet short) season, although there were plenty of doubts going in. Could Russell T Davies come back swinging with something wholly fresh, new, and exciting?
